Flavia is a Research Assistant in the project "Toward a China-EU Investment Treaty" led by Professor Julien Chaisse and supported by the General Research Fund (GRF), Hong Kong SAR Research Grants Council, 2016-2018. She is completing her Ph.D. thesis at Ghent University about the Environment in Investor-State Dispute Settlement. Italian qualified lawyer since 2014, she worked at the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Commission (Directorate General for the Environment), Jones Day, and an environmental NGO. She is a guest lecturer in Comparative Civil Procedure both at the University of Milan Bicocca (since 2012) and the University of Milan, where she graduated with 110/110 Summa cum Laude. She specialized in EU Law with an LL.M. at the College of Europe, Bruges, and studied also at the University of California, Berkeley, University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, Sheffield Hallam University, and Tsinghua University in Beijing.
