On 24th Oct 2019, Prof. Chin Leng LIM, Choh-Ming Li Professor of Law, was invited to speak in Kuala Lumpur on current global trade frictions to approximately 1,000 participants comprising representatives of small and medium-sized and mid-tier companies, as well as Government-linked corporations, across all industrial sectors. The theme for National Export Day 2019, a part of Malaysia’s Corporate Shared Values initiative, was “Sustainability and Inclusiveness”.

In addition, Prof. LIM was invited to moderate at the flagship event of Hong Kong Arbitration Week on 22th Oct 2019. The opening panel of the conference addressed itself to this year’s theme, “Arbitrating for Settlement”, exploring ways in which disputing parties navigate to reach settlement or to enhance their positions in respect of it.
