CUHK LAW hosted the Property Law Webinar ‘The Mummified Buddha Statue Case – Legal Issues Surrounding Cultural Heritage’ on 3 February 2021. It was delivered by Mr. Laurens Kasteleijn, Founder of Art Law Services. This Webinar introduced the details of the mummified Buddha statue case and the legal issues involved. It also discussed the general rules for the return of cultural heritage, the conflicts between international and domestic law, and the current climate in which claims are made.
