We are delighted to welcome our incoming students as they begin an exciting new chapter at CUHK LAW.

This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, and we are thrilled to have our newest cohort join us at this milestone moment. Whether at our Sha Tin campus or the Graduate Law Centre in Central, our students are embarking on a journey of intellectual discovery, personal growth, and lifelong friendships.

We were honoured to welcome Ms Frances Lok SC, a CUHK alumna and Senior Counsel, as Guest of Honour at our LLB Welcoming Reception. In her inspiring address on navigating the age of AI, she encouraged students to look beyond shortcuts and cultivate critical thinking, integrity, and sound judgement. She reminded us that while technology may transform the way we work, the qualities that define outstanding lawyers remain timeless. As lawyers, we do not merely adapt to the future; we actively shape it.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to our distinguished JD and PCLL alumna, Ms Janice Cheng, who shared valuable reflections on her journey from law school to legal practice with our JD and PCLL students. Her insights offered our new students an encouraging and realistic glimpse of the opportunities, challenges, and rewards that lie ahead in their professional journeys.
