Prof. Surabhi CHOPRA will speak on “Refugee Protection in Hong Kong Today” on 31 March 2021 as part of the project Immigration Detention and Vulnerable Migrants in Hong Kong funded by the Research Grants Council (RGC).

The online talk is part of The Chinese University of Hong Kong Library’s exhibition “Nàng Tự Do” on Vietnamese refugees in detention camps in the 1970s-90s, and is co-hosted by the CUHK Library. In this talk, Prof. Chopra and her research team will examine the current framework for refugee recognition and protection in Hong Kong.
