Congratulations to Prof. Surabhi CHOPRA on her success in obtaining HK$2,998,800 from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) Research Impact Fund 2019/20 for her project entitled “Immigration Detention and Vulnerable Migrants in Hong Kong: Evaluating the System, Facilitating Reform”.

The RGC Research Impact Fund aims to encourage the local academics to consider and articulate the potential of research to deliver benefit for the wider community and to encourage more impactful and translational research projects. It also aims to encourage a greater volume of collaborative research beyond academia (e.g. organizations such as government departments, business sector, industry and research institutes).
