Prof. Lutz-Christian WOLFF, Dean of CUHK LAW, was invited to speak at the 2020 Tsinghua World Forum on the Rule of Law on “Responding to Difficult Business Environments with Flexible Commercial Law?”. At the event held on 16 October 2020, Prof. Wolff explained how flexible law and the flexible application of law is understood in legal circles and discussed the rule of law implications of the different dimensions of flexibility. While flexible law is often seen as necessary to cope with crises, Prof. Wolff pointed to related risks and potential alternative solutions.
