Governance Structure

CUHK LAW is unitary in character combining both a faculty and a teaching department. The governance structure of the Faculty has been designed to suit the practical and operational needs of staff and students. The principal bodies governing the operations of the Faculty are set out below.

Advisory Board of the Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law receives strategic advice and guidance on its development and operation from distinguished representatives from the judicial, legal, educational and business communities. Membership of the Board from 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2025 is as follows:

Board of the Faculty of Law

The Board of the Faculty is the main arm of Faculty governance. While membership of the Board is formally constituted according to the relevant Statute, the Faculty adopts a participative management style and encourages all academic staff and invited student representatives to attend Board meetings as observers.
