About the speaker:
Michala Meiselles is a Senior Law Lecturer, and Academic Board Representative at the University of Derby (England). Her research, teaching and consultancy focus on banking, compliance (antimoney laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, counter-terrorist financing, sanctions), cross-border commercial agreements, technology transfer and franchising.
Ms Meiselles qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1999. She practised commercial and insurance litigation in a major English law firm, representing banks, governmental bodies, multinationals and insurance companies.
Ms Meiselles has been lecturing for over fifteen years, in the fields of corporate law, international trade law, European law and policy, international business law and international commercial agreement. She holds and has held several visiting positions at business and law schools in Europe, the Middle East and North America, including Western Law, Université Jean Moulin (France), Aix Marseille Université (France), Université Cergy Pontoise (France), UNISOB (Italy), Radzyner School of Law at the Interdisciplinary Centre (Israel) and the University of Georgia in Athens (US).
In 2018, Ms. Meiselles was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
