On 24 March 2021, 80 participants attended the CUHK LAW Alumni Online Seminar, ‘AI and Finance Law’. Our guest speaker, Mr. Danny Kan, Chief Counsel of Ping An Group, introduced the elements of artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in the financial industry to areas such as AML, KYC and cybersecurity. The seminar also examined legal and regulatory issues arising from AI, and how Hong Kong regulators are responding to these.
