CUHK LAW Team makes it to the Advanced Rounds of the 2021 Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and wins the third Best Oralist Award

The Global Rounds for the 2021 Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (9 March-17 April) have come to a close, and CUHK LAW has garnered significant honors. After winning second place in the Regional Tournament (27-28 February), out of approximately 600 teams in the Global Preliminary Rounds, CUHK LAW moved on to the Advanced Rounds, where approximately 150 teams competed. On the way to reaching the Advanced Rounds, CUHK LAW faced teams from the United States, India, South Korea, Ukraine, Indonesia, and Moldova. CUHK LAW team member Joshua Yeung was honored as 3rd Best Oralist for the Global Preliminary Rounds (out of more than 2,000 oralists) and 23rd for the Advanced Rounds. Sonder Li was honored as the 85th Best Oralist in the Preliminary Rounds. 

The CUHK LAW Team, coached by Prof. Gregory GORDON, consisted of members Warwick CHAN (LLB), Jason CHENG (LLB), Sonder LI (LLB), Velda YAU (PCLL), and Joshua YEUNG (PCLL). The team’s student coach was Kerry POON (PCLL).
