Posted on 21 January, 2020

Congratulations to CUHK LAW PCLL student, George HO, on winning the 2019 Law for Change Student Competition, established by PILnet.

This competition paired law students with legal mentors as they sought to develop innovative solutions to entrenched social justice needs in Hong Kong, while raising general awareness about the role of law as a tool for change. The winning team comprising George HO (‘Access to Justice Fellowship’) will receive a seed grant of $50,000 to help implement their project.

The Law for Change Student Competition is intended to stimulate interest in public interest law and create opportunities for implementing sustainable initiatives to address the access to justice needs of the low-income and vulnerable communities in Hong Kong. CUHK LAW Prof. Luke MARSH is an Advisory Board Member of the competition.
