CUHK Law Faculty Team Wins Four Awards at Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot

At the recently completed Vis (East) Moot, contested by some 130 law schools from around the world, the CUHK Law Faculty team won the following four awards for their performance in the competition:

  • Honourable Mention (top 10%) – Memorandum for Claimant
  • Honourable Mention (top 10%) – Memorandum for Respondent
  • Honourable Mention (top 10%) – Individual Advocacy (Leslie Luo – LLB)
  • Team Award for qualifying for the competitive round

The Vis team consists of LLB students (Lesley Luo, Thomas Nip, Kinko Wong), JD students (Herman Kwan, Emily Ting, Zhan Hongyu) and PCLL students (Katie Chan, Kevin Cheung, Calvin Huang, Kenneth Ip, Lillian Yip) with student coaches from the PCLL Programme (Chester Kwan, Patrick Lau, Alan Lee, Raymond Shek, Charlotte Wong) together with faculty coach Professor Peter Rhodes. In preparing for their oral advocacy the team was greatly helped by CUHK Law staff member Mr. Paul Mitchard QC.
