This seminar aims to address some of the core questions of the law of unjust enrichment by exploring the history of this complex area of law from a comparative perspective with the ultimate goal to show the impact on legal developments up to the present day. Specific topics to be addressed are the historical development of the law of unjust enrichment in Hong Kong, Germany and China, related sources and the specific function of the law of unjust enrichment in these jurisdictions.
