Everybody agrees that the rule of law and the administration of justice are fundamental to Hong Kong and are part of what makes Hong Kong special. But what do they mean in practice? In this session we will discuss various features which may or may not be well known – even to law students – that underlie the uniqueness of the Hong Kong Judiciary and explain why they are the anchor to the rule of law in Hong Kong.
