The vast majority of our JD students possess at least an Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a large number possessing a First Class Honours Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree.
Many of the JD students enroll to further their existing careers or to enhance their professional skills. Many of them also have professional qualifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP).
Some students are member of professional bodies including Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb), Member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (MCIBSE) or registered professional in various disciplines for instance in medical and engineering.
Our JD student body also has numerous lawyers qualified in other jurisdictions. A number of our students are in or come to us from prominent management positions such as CEO, VP or Director at companies such as Dah Sing Bank Limited, Harvey Law Group, KPMG China and ZhongAn Technologies International Group Limited, etc.
