Shixue Hu is an Assistant Professor and Deputy Director of the Research Postgraduate Program at the Faculty of Law, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Hu’s research interests include international trade, investment, dispute resolution, and transnational business law. Her recent research examines international governance on state enterprises and sustainable development. Her works have appeared in prominent academic journals, such as ICSID Review, Review of European, Comparative & International Environmental Law, Yale Journal of International Law, Michigan Journal of International Law, Georgetown Journal of International Law, UC Davis Business Law Journal, Chinese Journal of Maritime Law (中國海商法研究), Law and Social Sciences (法律和社會科學).

Before joining the Faculty of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Hu graduated from Yale Law School with an LL.M and a J.S. D. degree, where she was editor of Yale Journal of International Law and Yale Journal on Regulation. Prior to that, Dr. Hu graduated from Peking University (LL.B summa cum laude and Ph.D. in Law) where she had participated in legislative projects in the areas of international economic and finance law.
