Shixue Hu’s research interests include international law, investment law, trade and transnational business law. Her writing has appeared or will appear on Michigan Journal of International Law, Georgetown Journal of International Law, UC Davis Business Law Journal, Yale Journal of International Law, Chinese Journal of Maritime Law (中國海商法研究), Law and Social Sciences (法律和社會科學), and in the edited collections. Her doctoral dissertation – Identity Struggles of State Enterprises in International Law- was sponsored by the Oscar M. Reubhausen Fund at Yale Law School.
Dr. Hu graduated from Yale Law School with an LL.M and a J.S. D. degree. Before joining the Faculty of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she was a Teaching Fellow at Yale University and an editor of Yale Journal of International Law and Yale Journal on Regulation. Prior to that, Dr. Hu graduated from Peking University (LL.B summa cum laude and Ph.D. in Law) where she had participated in several legislation projects.
