Fanny Or is currently practising offshore law at Appleby and specializes in the Corporate Finance practice. She is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong and was trained at Sullivan & Cromwell (Hong Kong) LLP. She graduated from the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at CUHK and obtained first class honours for her Master of Laws at University of Cambridge as well as her Bachelor of Business Administration (Law) and Bachelor of Laws at The University of Hong Kong. She served as a part-time lecturer at The University of Hong Kong teaching tort law from 2024-2025.

She started practising mindfulness to handle the pressures of legal practice when she was a trainee and has continued to deepen her mindfulness practice through taking Mindfulness for Life course and Mindfulness Teacher Training with the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation afterwards. Believing that mindfulness can help support mental wellbeing of legal professionals and law students, she founded the Mindful Lawyers Hong Kong group on LinkedIn which organises regular mindfulness practice sessions for legal professionals and law students, aiming to provide a safe space and build a support network for the legal community.
