This presentation will examine restructuring, insolvency and receivership issues from an insolvency practitioner’s perspective. It will explore why some debtors require multiple restructuring. Next, it will discuss the tools available for implementing restructurings in Hong Kong. This will be followed by a discussion of enforcement strategies insolvency practitioners can use. Finally, the presentation will identify key issues in this field that may arise in 2025.
About the Speaker:
Dick is an experienced insolvency and restructuring practitioner. He currently works as a Director at Perun Consultants Limited. He handles a wide spectrum of complex cross-border restructuring, insolvency and receivership cases involving Mainland China, Hong Kong, and major offshore jurisdictions, such as the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Bermuda.
Dick holds memberships in several professional organisations, including the Hong Kong Institute of Public Accountants (HKICPA), CPA Australia, the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL), Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty (RIF) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He also holds a Specialist Qualification in Insolvency.
Dick has been frequently interviewed by the HKICPA and was featured as a “Problem Solver” and “Future Specialist” in the HKICPA’s A Plus magazine. Last year, he was selected by The Hague Academy of International Law to participate in an advanced course on the Judgment Convention.
