Metaverse can be regarded as one of the next frontiers in internet. It can transform the way you play, shop, interact with people remotely, and do business with it. Gaming, among the other, is one of the noticeable applications. While the metaverse is still under development and the communities are working to build it, there are parts of it that already exist and look for people exploring it.

This webinar will start with basic concept and elements of metaverse. The introduction will follow by its brief history and its latest development. Finally, the webinar will explore more about opportunities and threats that faced by the developers’ community.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Michael So has over 20 years of experience in e-learning and e-Commerce Technology development. He is a holder of Bachelor Degree in Risk Management and Business Administration from Lingnan University in Hong Kong, a Graduate Certificate of Technology Management from the University of Queensland in Australia, and an Honorary Doctor of Science degree from St Clements University.

Mr. So held executive positions at several international, large-scale enterprises and listed companies and position as the Executive Director of a main board listed company, INED of 2 Gem ListCo, and COO of an OTT US company. He was founder of 2 Hong Kong Listco-associated companies. Both companies, specialize in e-Commerce and e-learning solutions, operated and under his management for 9 years.

From 2021 to 2022, Mr. So has been focusing on Web3 development and business model building.  He has won the Certified Metaverse Certificate and accomplished 8 different metaverse projects with the famous Giant Tech in HK, such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Mozilla. He conducted those projects with Hong Kong Government agencies, Global Brands, and property developers.
