CUHK LAW Team advanced to the semi-finals in the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition 2023

The International Criminal Court (ICC) Moot Court Competition was held in The Hague, Netherlands on 2-9 June 2023. The CUHK LAW Team progressed to the semi-final round and was ranked 8th overall out of 81 teams.

The CUHK LAW team consisted of LLB students Jason Hei Yin CHEUNG, Isaac Cheuk Ming LAI, Mavis Chung Yan LAM, Brandon Kei Yin LI, and Fontane Fong Ching WONG.  The team was coached by Mr. Arthur LEE and Ms. Velda YAU, with valuable assistance from PCLL student Vanessa Man Yi WONG.

Widely known as one of the ‘grand slam’ international moots, the ICC Moot Court Competition was founded in 2004, focusing on contemporary issues of international criminal law. It takes place annually in The Hague and is co-organized by The Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies and The International Bar Association. The Competition simulates proceedings of the ICC and attracts law students from all over the world.
