On the second day, and having mooted a further four times, CUHK emerged as one of the top two universities and proceeded to the final rounds against the Singapore Management University (SMU). In the final rounds, SMU won by a narrow margin, with CUHK declared as runner-up of the Law Asia Moot.

The CUHK team comprised Cynthia Or (PCLL), James Ng (PCLL) and Vivian Lau (PCLL). Professor Michael Ramsden, Jessica Wu (LLB) and Zena Yuen (PCLL) coached the team.
