Congratulations to CUHK LAW LLB student SIU Ngo Kenneth on winning the 2022 Law for Change Student Competition, established by PILnet.

This competition paired law students with legal mentors as they sought to develop innovative solutions to entrenched social justice needs in Hong Kong, while raising general awareness about the role of law as a tool for change. The winning team comprising Kenneth (‘WholeHearted’) will receive a seed grant of $50,000 to help implement their project aimed at providing both legal and personal support to the single father community in Hong Kong.

The Law for Change Student Competition is intended to stimulate interest in public interest law and create opportunities for implementing sustainable initiatives to address the access to justice needs of the low-income and vulnerable communities in Hong Kong. Prof. Luke MARSH is an Advisory Board Member of the competition.
