Prof. Eliza MIK presented at the Conference “The Digitalised World and the Transformation of Private Law: Cybernetic Avatars and Beyond” held at the headquarters of UNIDROIT in Rome, Italy. The event, which provided a forum to exchange ideas on the latest trends in the field of digital assets and metaverse, was co-organized by UNIDROIT and the Japanese Moonshot Research & Development Program. Prof. Mik’s presentation focused on the challenges of attribution in the case of autonomous systems, with special emphasis on issues of agency and personhood.
