Prof. Eliza MIK<\/a> presented at a symposium titled \u201cPersons and Things in the Digitalised World \u2013 The Private Law of Cybernetic Avatars in 2050\u201d held on 27 September 2024 at Chuo University in Tokyo, Japan. Her presentation, titled \u201cContracts between Avatars\u201d, addressed the doctrinal challenges of applying traditional principles to virtual environments as well as the misconceptions regarding the attribution of the acts \u201cof\u201d avatars to their human users. Forming part of UNIDROITS\u2019s continued work on digital assets and private law, the symposium debated the need to reconsider the fundamental concepts of \u201cpersons\u201d and \u201cthings\u201d in the Metaverse.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
