(Emeritus Professor, CUHK LAW) and Prof. M\u00e1ximo LANGER (President of the American Society of Comparative Law).<\/p><p>Bringing together established and emerging scholars from around the world, this <em>Research Handbook <\/em>examines the history, practice, underlying issues and future evolution of plea bargaining, through which guilty pleas are secured and trials are
