The JD-MBA Programme is an integrated postgraduate double-degree that is academically rigorous and professionally enriching leading to the award of both a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. This Programme is jointly hosted by the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Business Administration and is the first of its kind in Asia. Admission requirements:<\/td>

Applicants must meet rigorous academic, English Language Proficiency and work <\/span>experience requirements.<\/nobr><\/p>

Academic:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

  • graduated from a recognised university and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in a non law subject or a law degree from a non-common law jurisdiction, normally with honours not lower than Second Class; or<\/li>
  • graduated from an Honours Programme of a recognised university with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in a non-law subject or a law degree from a non-common law jurisdiction, achieving an average grade of not lower than “B” in undergraduate courses; or<\/li>
  • completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained professional or similar qualifications equivalent to an honours degree.<\/li><\/ul>

      English Language Proficiency Requirement:<\/b><\/span><\/p>

      <\/strong><\/p>

      You must also satisfy the English Language Proficiency Requirement by:<\/p>

      • possessing a Bachelor’s degree obtained by completing a programme of study in Hong Kong or an English-speaking country, or which was taught primarily in the English Language; or<\/li>
      • achieving a result of Band 7.5 or better in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). IELTS test results must be obtained not more than two years prior to the date of applying for admission to the JD-MBA Programme; or<\/li>
      • achieving a result of 100\/120 or 5\/6 (Internet-based\/Home Edition) or above in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). TOEFL test results must be obtained not more than two years prior to the date of applying for admission to the JD-MBA Programme; or<\/li>
      • providing alternative evidence of English Proficiency equivalent to one of the preceding measures.<\/li><\/ul>

        • For the Full-time Programme: 2 years’ post-qualification full-time work experience or recognised professional qualifications are expected;<\/li>

Duration:<\/td>

Full-time: <\/span><\/strong>36 months (normative study period).<\/p>

Part-time: <\/span><\/strong>60 months (normative study period).<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Campus:<\/td>

For JD courses: <\/span><\/strong>the CUHK Graduate Law Centre<\/a>, 2\/F, Bank of America Tower, 12 Harcourt Road, Central.<\/p>

For MBA courses: <\/span><\/strong>(1) the University main campus in Shatin; and (2) the Town Centre of MBA, 1\/F, Bank of America Tower, Central.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Programme requirements:<\/td>

Full-time mode: <\/span><\/strong>99 units: including 60 units of JD component and 39 units of MBA components;<\/p>

Part-time mode: <\/span><\/strong>93 units: including 60 units of JD component and 33 units of MBA components;<\/p>

Minimum Cumulative grade-point average: <\/span><\/strong>for both the JD and MBA components of the Programme. Students who do not satisfy this requirement will be dropped from the Programme.<\/nobr><\/p>
