class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Dr. Yueming Yan is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean (External Engagement) at the Faculty of Law, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK Law). Currently, she serves as an Editorial Board Member of the <em>Journal of International Economic Law (JIEL)<\/em>, a Co-Chair of the American Society of International Law (ASIL) Asia-Pacific Interest Group and a Senior Fellow at The University of Melbourne, Law School. Her research and teaching areas cover international trade law, international investment arbitration and policy, dispute resolution, sustainable development, China\u2019s laws, comparative law, and empirical\u00a0 legal studies.<\/p><p>Yueming has published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the <em>Journal of International Economic Law<\/em>, <em>Journal of International Dispute Settlement<\/em>, <em>ICSID Review \u2013 Foreign Investment Law Journal<\/em>, <em>Melbourne Journal of International Law,<\/em> <em>Asian Journal of WTO &amp; International Health Law and Policy<\/em>, and the <em>Asia Pacific Law Review<\/em>. Her works also appear or will appear in the <em>Michigan Journal of International Law<\/em>, <em>University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law<\/em><em>, <\/em><em>Proceedings of the ASIL Annual Meeting<\/em>, and the <em>Kluwer Arbitration Blog<\/em>. Her PhD dissertation \u2013 <em>Imp<\/em><em>roving international investment law\u2019s treatment of (anti-) corruption: Towards a more balanced approach<\/em> \u2013 was granted the Award on International Investment Arbitration Law in memory of Piero Bernardini (2022). She received the <em>JIEL Excellence in Reviewing Award<\/em> in 2023.<\/p><p>Before joining CUHK LAW in December 2022, Yueming served as a Visiting Assistant Professor (January\u2013December 2022) and a Global PhD Fellow (June\u2013December 2021) at the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University, and the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy. She has engaged in many training programs for government officials globally, focusing on managing international investment treaty commitments and exploring innovative mechanisms for multi-party dispute resolution.<\/p><p>Yueming obtained her PhD in Law from McGill University in 2021, a Master of Law from Xiamen University in 2016, and a Bachelor of Law from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2014.
