Seminar on ‘A Gentle Divorce: The Benefits of Collaborative Practice as an Out of Court Dispute Resolution Process in Family Law Matters’

17 November 2025
At the CUHK LAW Alumni Online Seminar on 17 November, a panel from the Hong Kong Collaborative Practice Group (HKCPG) presented on Collaborative Practice, a burgeoning form of Alternative Dispute Resolution in the family law context. The Panel took participants through the unique features and format of Collaborative Practice, the multi-disciplinary actors involved in it and case examples. The Panel’s recurring theme was how Collaborative Practice’s potential as a form of dispute resolution, whose primary aim is to help parties jointly, respectfully and constructively reach amicable solutions, can be emotionally, financially and practically preferable to traditional litigation.
