Professor Lutz-Christian Wolff has published the updated version of a book chapter entitled, “Hong Kong, SAR of the People’s Republic of China”, in J. Basedow, G. Rühl, R. Michaels, F. Ferrari, & P. de Miguel Asensio (eds), Encyclopedia of Private International Law, 2nd edition (Edward Elgar Publishing).
About the chapter: The newly published version updates a chapter that had been prepared for the first edition of the Encyclopedia of Private International Law (2017). It incorporates the latest developments such as the entering into force of the CISG in Hong Kong in December 2022 and the enactment of arrangements for the reciprocal recognition and enforcement of Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong judgments and arbitral awards as well as for the mutual service of judicial documents between Hong Kong and Macao.
