Dr Lu Xu teaches property law, land law, and several Chinese law courses at the Faculty of Law. Before joining CUHK in 2026, he was Senior Lecturer in Property Law at Lancaster University and Lecturer in Property Law at University of East Anglia. He has published extensively on property law and Chinese law in international journals and edited volumes. His research has received support from prestigious funders including the British Academy and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom amongst others. He has also contributed to law reform initiatives in the UK, having served as a technical adviser to both the Law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission.
