The Sir T L Yang Society High Table Dinner 2026

On 12 May 2026, CUHK LAW came together for a memorable evening as over 200 mentors, students, and faculty gathered for the 17th Sir T L Yang Society High Table Dinner. Marking the start of the Distinguished Professional Mentors (DPM) programme, the occasion signalled the beginning of a meaningful three-year journey for first-year LLB students, while also serving as a heartfelt farewell to the graduating class — celebrating their achievements and the bonds formed along the way.

The 6th Machine Lawyering Conference

In May 2026, CUHK LAW became a meeting point for global conversations on the future of law and technology. Over two dynamic days (21-22 May), the Centre for Legal Innovation and Digital Society (CLINDS) hosted the 6th Machine Lawyering Conference, bringing together esteemed scholars and practitioners from 26 institutions across 14 jurisdictions. Through 31 thought-provoking papers, participants explored pressing issues — from international technological competition and agentic AI to algorithmic harm, digital money laundering, and the evolving landscapes of criminal justice, platform governance, and stablecoins.

20th Anniversary Distinguished Lecture Series

The 20th Anniversary Lecture series began with a compelling opening chapter on 8 April 2026, as Professor Walter Woon Cheong Ming SC took the stage to explore “The Exercise of Prosecutorial Discretion in Practice”, setting the tone for thoughtful dialogue and reflection in the months to come.

A Gateway to International Law: CUHK LAW Students at the ILC in Geneva

At CUHK LAW, legal education extends far beyond the classroom. Supported by a Faculty bursary, LLB students Charles Chan and Yueyun Hu completed an unforgettable two-week placement at the United Nations as Research Assistants under leading international law scholar Professor Martins Paparinskis.
