Call for Papers – CUHK-KCL Annual Conference on Tax, Trade, and Investment Law

The Faculty of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London (KCL) will jointly host the CUHK-KCL Annual Conference on Tax, Trade, and Investment Law on 10-11 September 2026 (Thursday and Friday) at CUHK in Hong Kong, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the CUHK Faculty of Law.

This two-day conference will bring together scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to reflect on how international tax, trade, and investment law are responding to current geopolitical uncertainty, fiscal and distributional challenges, and emerging regulatory developments. The conference will feature both policy panels and academic paper presentations.

We welcome submissions addressing any aspect of tax, trade, and investment law. Papers taking comparative, international, regional, or domestic perspectives are all welcome.

Please submit an abstract of up to 300 words by 15 May 2026 in the following link: https://cloud.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/webform/view.php?id=13730239

Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 25 May 2026. They will be asked to share their full papers two weeks prior to the conference. The conference will not publish proceedings or a dedicated volume. Participants and presenters are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and expenses.
