23-26 June 2026
What does it feel like to step into a law school?
For 50 outstanding high school students, the answer came to life over four unforgettable days and three transformative nights on the CUHK Shatin campus. From 23 to 26 June, LEAP was not just a summer programme, it was an immersion into the mindset, challenge, and excitement of legal education.
Stepping into Advocate’s Shoes
Inside our Moot Court, students did not just learn the law, they experienced it.
Under the guidance of Professor Stephen Hall, they explored the fundamentals of contract law, building the analytical precision that defines great lawyers.
The highlight? A dynamic Mooting Demonstration by our students Charles Chan (LLB), Christy Lam (LLB), Mavis Lam (LLB, PCLL) and Danny Zou (JD, PCLL) showcased brilliant advocacy, where every argument mattered and every word carried weight.
Beyond the Classroom: Living the CUHK Experience
Law school is more than lectures — it is a community.
Through their residential stay at WYS College, students fully embraced campus life: late-night conversations, shared challenges, and lasting friendships.
A special shoutout to Invictus, the Undergraduate Law Society of CUHK, whose high-energy activities, engaging ice-breaking sessions, and heartfelt late-night sharing turned strangers into a close-knit cohort of future law students.
Learning from Those Who have Walked the Path
What lies ahead in the legal profession?
At our Alumni Sharing Session, distinguished graduates Carlos Chan, Rachel Chiu, Kasper Fan, Alvin Wong, together with Professor Dicky Tsang, shared real life experience of their journeys. From CUHK LAW to Cambridge LLM and diverse and impactful careers, their stories underscored a powerful message: a legal education at CUHK LAW opens doors far beyond the courtroom.
And This Is Only the Beginning
As the programme came to a close, one thing was clear:
The LEAP experience does not end here. It shapes aspirations, sharpens ambitions, and inspires the next generation of legal minds.
Our heartfelt thanks go to our faculty, alumni, students, Invictus, and above all, our incredible LEAPers for making this summer school so fruitful.
