Summer Study Abroad Programme at University of Sydney

10-29 July 2011

The Faculty of Law was once again delighted to participate in the University of Sydney International Law Study Abroad Program. A group of 36 LLB students from the Faculty of Law joined the 3 credit program for 3 weeks. Lectures were delivered by members of the University of Sydney's Faculty of Law and covered two subjects: the Law of War, which focused on International Humanitarian Law, and International Trade and World Trade Organisation Law. The lectures were held for 3 hours in the weekday mornings. The remainder of the program consisted of legal site visits and Australian political, cultural and historical visits. Students visited the Australian International Red Cross, the Courts and the Rocks etc. The weekends were left free for the students to visit other places of interest such as, the Opera House, Taronga Zoo, Manly Beach, the Fish Market and the New South Wales Art Gallery.

As always the students received a warm welcome from our Australian hosts and the students enjoyed the academic and cultural elements of their visit.
