LAW STUDENT CAREERS OFFICE

The Law Student Careers Office is responsible for providing Faculty of Law students with guidance on career choices and in both career preparation and professional development. The Director, Paul Mitchard QC, has prepared a programme which includes seminars on career and professionalism topics, and other related activities, including presentations by law firm representatives and other prospective employers.

VIRTUAL CAREERS RESOURCE CENTRE (VCRC)

The office is also responsible for maintaining the Virtual Careers Resource Centre (VCRC) which contains a Legal Careers Directory with up-to-date information on law firms and internship and other employment opportunities for students and provides information on careers seminars and other events. Following the other VCRC links on this page will also provide you with guidance on job applications, CV preparation and other resources designed to ensure that Faculty of Law students are fully informed and equipped for preparing for and entering into what today is a challenging jobs market.
